One of my favorite lessons that I like to learn in English Language Arts is the five elements of the story. The five elements of the story are plot. character, setting, conflict, and theme. Plot is the action/series of events that goes on in the story. Characters are the people that that carry out the action. Setting is the place that the story is taking place. Conflict is the struggle or problem in the plot that created the drama in the story. Finally, theme is the main idea of the story or the central belief of the story. Learning about this is really enjoying because it can help you analyze short stories that you read at school. It can also help you understand the purpose of a novel you are reading or find the purpose of a story.
