What it Meant to Be an AdVENTURE StudentBeing in the 8th grade means being in our last year of being AdVENTURE student. I can't believe that it has been 3 years since I first joined AdVENTURE, and now I'm already about to leave. People say that being an AdVENTURE student means that you got accepted into a smart program, meaning you're smart as well. That's not what it means at all. It means learning in a unique and different way where you can prepare yourself to what life gives you, and what you can do to sharpen your mind. It means to be able to be flexible towards people you might not even suspect you would be friends with, and collaborating with different people to see what you can do to be at your best. It helps you for your future, and it also helps you mentally because you can learn several life lessons in this program, whether it's school related or not. In 6th grade, I honestly thought that I wasn't going to get anywhere socially, thinking that I'm just going to be basket case for the rest of my life. I still kind of am, just a little less since I try (and sometimes struggling with SEVERAL people) to be flexible with others. Being in AdVENTURE helps you prepare for somethings in life and to help you grow.
